I found a cork board on the side on the road around campus while I was walking to class. I was super excited to be so lucky to find something like this! Don't worry though, no one else was around, so I able to make sure that I wasn't stealing it. I think someone was throwing it away? It had a chip on the frame, and it was pretty dirty.
So, I walked around campus for the next couple of hours looking like a weirdo who brings her cork board to class.
When I got home I gave this poor thing a makeover into the beautiful thing you see now. Just by painting the frame and gluing on some pretty wrapping paper, you can turn dull into fun and cute!
This was a lucky find because I was actually thinking about going out and buying a cork board-- but not for the typical reasons. I use them as jewelry displays. Just stick a couple of push pins in and you have a nice way to have tangle-free necklaces and bracelets. I think of it a bit like how people display tools- all arranged on a board. So, this is like tools for girls right?
In under 30 minutes you can have yourself a new jewelry display, or at least a pretty place to put papers and what not!
