Table Cloth

For my new dining table, I wanted a table cloth for everyday use since it mostly will become a desk for Joel and I. After looking on several websites, I really couldn't find one that I like, or that was in my budget. Table cloths are more expensive than I thought!

Instead of shelling out $40+ for something that I sort of liked, I decided to make my own. I discovered SAS Fabric Store a couple months ago and couldn't be happier with that place! One of Arizona's downsides is that really your only option for fabric stores is Joann's and this place. I purchased several different fabrics and each was $3 a yard, which is great!

This plaid tablecloth is so perfect for winter since it looks really cosy, and it only took 20 minutes to sew it! An added bonus it that it also helps tie in the chairs we have.

I also have material for a white tablecloth and some napkins for when the table is fully extended, but they aren't finished yet. I highly recommend a hemmer foot for your sewing machine, it really was a life saver for the 5 mm hem on the napkins.

What projects are you working on?
